Scrypta is a public, decentralized and permissionless blockchain. Its consensus method is Proof of Stake (PoS), with an additional network of validators called Masternodes.
The Scrypta Foundation has developed, in this emergency phase deriving from the pandemic caused by Covid-19, contributes by releasing to the Municipality of Vizzini the free use of an innovative system, based on the Scrypta blockchain technology.
The system is based on the dematerialization and management of “shopping vouchers”, through the “tokenization” of solidarity vouchers. This is one of the first examples in Italy of massive use of tokens and blockchains, for everyday use and social utility.
The resources, allocated by the Government and the Region to help the most fragile and disadvantaged families, are used for the purchase of basic necessities, medicines and in particular for “food assistance”.
Thus, to give an immediate solution to the correct distribution of aid to families in economic difficulties, Fondazione Scrypta has created a safe and traceable system, open-source, simple and practical to use, which saves time and resources for the Municipality.
